Help Bring Eric Decker to Mi Casa Neighborhood Center!

This month, the Mi Casa Neighborhood Center is participating in the Popchips Game Changers competition.  The contest is voter-generated and Eric will select one local organization from the top five most voted for to spend time with.  Each organization in the running has proposed an event or activity for him to engage with if they are the lucky winner.  The following is the Neighborhood Center’s proposed activity:

Everyday after school, kids toss the football in the field overlooking the Broncos’ stadium behind Mi Casa’s Neighborhood Center. Though just a short walk from their school, these children rarely have the opportunity to attend a game. Welcoming Eric to Mi Casa would be thrilling! The Mi Casa students propose a trade: in exchange for a football clinic during Mi Casa‘s Summer Camp, the kids offer Eric an intensive workshop on Four Square. It’s a win-win – Mi Casa kids learn how to chase their dreams, and Eric experiences the intensity of blacktop games and acquires mad Four Square skills!

Voting will take place from May 1st to May 20th (you can vote once a day) and on June 1st, Eric will choose one of the top five most popular organizations to spend time with.  Shortly thereafter, Popchips will host an exclusive event for the Denver Bronco and the winning organization.  Help the Neighborhood Center youth meet and play sports with Eric Decker by voting now!  Simply click “vote now” on the contest’s home page and then locate Mi Casa Resource Center in the list of participating organizations and click “vote now” in the Mi Casa Resource Center box!  Thanks for your vote and we hope to be able to invite Eric Decker to spend a day at our summer camp shortly.
