Business Development

  • 154 individuals successfully completed the bilingual entrepreneurial training courses in Denver and Southern Colorado; 84 graduates submitted viable business plans
  • 83 small businesses launched with Mi Casa’s assistance
  • 172 existing small businesses not enrolled in Mi Casa’s entrepreneurial training received business counseling services
  • These 83 businesses Mi Casa helped start created 87 jobs, obtained over $1,000,000 in capital assistance and generated nearly $3,000,000 in revenue.

Career Development

  • 81 individuals completed Mi Casa’s career training programs
  • 44 individuals (54% of those who completed the training) have been placed in full-time jobs with average wage of $11 per hour with benefits
  • 221 job seekers not enrolled in career training programs received help from Mi Casa with their job search

Youth & Family Development

  • 402 children were served in out-of-school time enrichment programs
  • Of the 402 participants, core students (youth attending 30 days or more per year) increased to 83 students
  • 230 family members participated in adult programming
  • 90% of core students reported increased family support
  • 53% of core students improved their academic performance based on CSAP scores
  • 100% of core students advanced to next grade
  • Digital Connectors youth technology program launched in 2009
  • 12 youth participated in the program and performed collectively 226 hours of community service tutoring computer usage, which benefitted 294 community members.
