Danielle had a career in healthcare first as a medical assistant and then as an administrator. When she was laid off due to budget cuts, she was confident she would secure a new job in healthcare because of her ten years of experience in the industry.

She was wrong. Danielle was out of work for 18 months, struggling to support her two teenage sons. Committed to sending her boys to college, Danielle knew she had to make a career change that would enable her to earn a strong wage.

Danielle enrolled in Mi Casa’s Green Construction & Energy career training course and found a new passion for sustainability and environmental technology.

The certifications and knowledge that Danielle gained through the course enabled her to secure a full-time job at Red Rocks Community College in the Water Quality Department as a Program Assistant while she also takes classes there.
