Before Ana enrolled in Mi Casa’s career training program, she had never considered a job as a bank teller. But after emigrating from the Dominican Republic with some accounting experience and struggling for months to find work in the U.S., Ana was anxious to learn skills that would enable her to land a job with earning and advancement potential in financial services.

Shy at first about her accent, Mi Casa helped Ana realize that her bilingual and bicultural abilities are actually tremendous assets in today’s job market.

After completing Mi Casa’s Bilingual Bank Teller career training course, Ana was able to launch a promising career as a teller at FirstBank. “It’s not easy to find a job these days, and I don’t think my success would have been possible without the support of the Mi Casa team.”
