Business Success

Mi Casa’s 13-week Business Success training program equips aspiring entrepreneurs, as well as established small business owners, with the skills and knowledge they need to successfully launch or grow their operations.

Week 2: Key marketing decisions/market research
Week 3: Marketing 101
Week 4: Marketing Strategy
Week 5: Legal Matters
Week 6: Start up costs and pricing methods
Week 7: Cash flow projections and sales projections
Week 8: Accounting 101 and financial documents
Week 9: Marketing strategies and e-commerce
Week 10: Taxes and record keeping
Week 11: Business resource fair
Week 12: Business analysis, daily operations, credit and insurance
Week 13: Successful business planning

2014 Business Success Dates:

  • Jan. 22 – April 23 This class is full, please wait to register until the next open registration session in July.

How to Apply:

Due to the course popularity, only 25 spots are available in each session. All application packages must be received once month in advance of the course start date.

Step 1: Complete and submit the online application form; if you prefer to submit the application in hard copy, click here to download the application.

Step 2: Fax, mail or deliver the following documents:

  • Proof of income (1040 form, paystub, benefits statement, personal letter)
  • Proof of dependents (birth certificates, report cards, child support records)
  • Proof of address (photo ID, utility bill, rental agreement

Step 3: Pay a non-refundable $25 application fee to ensure your spot. Payment can be taken over the phone by credit card or you may drop off cash or check.

Total program cost is $250 (scholarships may be available for those that qualify).
